“Willie F***ing Nelson” – Snoop Dogg Tells Tom Brady About The Highest He’s Ever Been

Willie Nelson snoop dogg

Snoop Dogg, Tom Brady, Willie Nelson... three GOATS in their respective fields. Tom Brady sat down with Snoop Dogg a while back on SiriusXM's Let's Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray podcast, and of course, the group talked a lot of football. That's when Brady hit Snoop with the million dollar question: "Snoop, what was the most stoned you've ever been in your whole life?" Without hesitation, Snoop said ol' Shotgun Willie smoked him under the table: "With Willie F****** Nelson. We was in Amsterdam on 4/20 and he was doing a concert out there. He performed on the 19th and I performed on the 20th. So we went back to his hotel room and we was playing dominoes. Willie had a vape, a joint, I had a blunt, and he had a pipe. So me and him were playing dominoes one-on-one, he' whooping my *** and I'm just getting higher and higher and higher." What a scene... Amsterdam on 4/20, two respective legends of the hip hop and country music game, and they're getting high as giraffe balls together, just slinging dominoes. And Willie whoopin' ass... oh, to be a fly on that wall. Snoop continues: "And he just keep passing it to me and I'm like, 'this old mf'er out-smoking me' and I'm trying to stop, but I can't 'cause I don't wanna show no signs of weakness." 15 minutes into the session I say, 'Willie, hey, let's get something to eat, man.' And we go to Kentucky Fried Chicken right, and we're in the back of the van and we go through the drive through. And when they give us the bucket of chicken, me and Willie both put our hands into the bucket at the same time, and we grabbed the same piece of chicken...  'It's yours cuz." Amazing. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bhy2DQsF4ic/ For the rest of the conversation, take a listen:

The Best Of Willie & Snoop

Willie and Snoop are no strangers to working together too. Here's a look at some of their best work as collaborators: “My Medicine” Released in 2008 on Snoop’s “Ego Trippin” album, Snoop’s entry in the “country rap” world features vocals by Willie near the end. This was their first, official collaboration, but something tells me they were in each other’s smoke ring orbit at some point before then. https://youtu.be/fWCa3GvbNUE “Superman” The music video for this one shows footage of Willie and Snoop brushing shoulders at various times in their careers. And unlike “My Medicine,” “Superman,” released on Snoop’s 2008 album, “Doggumentary,” is much more of a Willie Nelson song featuring Snoop than the other way around. https://youtu.be/-weOXYqWmr8 “Roll Me Up” I’ve heard this one so many times, and I never realized that Snoop Dogg was on the original, studio recording. A popular pick at concerts, Willie released this one on his 2012 album, Heroes. The original also features Kris Kristofferson and Jamey Johnson, an epic collab with a few artists who agree with Willie’s defiant take on mortality. https://youtu.be/NUBflOTXKsU

Former ESPN Host Sage Steele May Or May Not Have Interviewed Dana White Thinking He Was Joe Rogan

Sage Steele Dana White

A mistake that trumps all other mistakes. Sage Steele, a former ESPN employee who at one point even hosted UFC programming, sat down with UFC CEO Dana White on her own show, and it appears that she thought she was interviewing Joe Rogan. She at least slipped up for a moment during The Sage Steele Show, which saw Steele and Dana White have an hour and a half long conversation. For the most part, she navigated the interview well, talking to White about some of the UFC's big moments in the past couple of years. But then Steele really tripped up, and while she made herself more comfortable on the couch she was sitting across from White on, she threw out this question: "What’s Joe Rogan's dream?" Dana White was immediately confused, and likely a little offended, so he fired back quickly and sternly with: "What's Joe Rogan’s dream?" Sage Steele quickly realized her mistake and did her best to smile and work her way through it. It was a valiant effort, but you can't just mix up two bald white guys and get away with it scot free: "Joe Rogan ... Dana White. What’s Dana White’s dream?" Dana tried to take a moment to gather himself by taking a sip of water, though he couldn't even do that before he erupted with this comeback: "Did you just think I was Joe Rogan? She just called me f**king Joe Rogan. You thought I was f**king Joe Rogan. I was bald before Joe was ever bald... I just did a two hour f**king podcast, I flew here from Vegas and she thought she was interviewing Joe Rogan." https://twitter.com/danawhite/status/1773104877591208432?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1773104877591208432%7Ctwgr%5Eeba12ad2cc66170de9302be7dbcf59587111ea92%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mmafighting.com%2F2024%2F3%2F27%2F24114024%2Fwatch-dana-white-get-mistaken-for-joe-rogan-in-sitdown-interview-with-ex-espn-anchor Probably just an honest mistake from Sage Steele, but that's still a very embarrassing slip up. I'd say that White had a good sense of humor about it all judging by the fact that the UFC CEO posted the clip on his own social media profile. Riley Strain’s Family Has “Questions” After Autopsy Shows No Water In Lungs, Missing Pants & Boots

Riley Strain

The family of University of Missouri student Riley Strain still has questions about his death. The 22-year old's body was found in the Cumberland River in Nashville last week, two weeks after he went missing after being kicked out of Luke Bryan's bar, Luke's 32 Bridge, on Broadway. After being asked to leave the bar, Strain’s friends called him, but he told them he would just walk back to their hotel. The group was staying at the Tempo Hotel, which is just off of Broadway on 8th Avenue, and just a few blocks from Luke’s bar. But for some reason, it appears that Strain walked in the opposite direction of his hotel. The student was seen on several videos walking towards the river in downtown Nashville, and the last location that his phone pinged was near the James Robertson Parkway Bridge, near the Davidson County Courthouse at around 9:53 pm. Search crews had seemed to be concentrating their efforts on the river throughout the search, especially after his debit card was found on an embankment near his last known location. And on Friday, a worker on the river made the heartbreaking discovery of Strain's body, still wearing the shirt and watch that he was last seen wearing when he went missing. The Metro Nashville Police Department announced that a preliminary autopsy found no signs of foul play, and that his death appeared to be accidental, though the final results are still pending toxicology reports. But the family also ordered their own autopsy, which was also conducted in Nashville - and they still have questions about his death. Family friend and spokesman Chris Dingman appeared on News Nation this evening and spoke about the concerns that the family still have over the passing of their loved one: "One thing that threw the family for a loop was the coroner going on record with a news person in Nashville stating about the lack of water in his lungs. It raises more questions. I'm not a crime drama person by no means, but usually water in the lungs means they were alive when they went into the water." And Dingman also says that Strain's body was found without his pants or boots: "Unfortunately the only thing that was found with him as the police stated in the report was the watch and the shirt. Everything else was not with him when he was found." Strain was reportedly wearing square-toed Justin cowboy boots when he was missing, as well as jeans. His wallet was also missing. Dingman says that Strain's family would still like to talk to several people, including homeless people and others in the area when Riley went missing. "I hope that the ball hasn't been dropped on this... I think there's somebody out there that knows what actually happened that night, and we would love for them to come forward. We need some more info." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcu38CX0Ako

911 Call Released

In the 3 minute call, the worker describes finding Strain as he was working - and it sounds like he knew immediately who it was: "My company works on the river. I have just found a dead body. I believe it to be Riley." The man says that his company unloads barges on the river and that he was checking around his dock when he made the tragic discovery: "It's definitely got a person's hair, black shirt, kinda white, muddy looking on the front, it's face down in the water." And he says that he had to move debris from Strain's fully-submerged body to confirm what he found, while also requesting that only police and rescue personnel respond to the call (likely knowing that once word got out the chaos that would ensue). It's a heartbreaking call, but one that was at least able to provide closure to Strain's family after a long two-week search.

"Hug Your Babies Tight"

Strain’s mom, Michelle Whiteid, released a brief, but heartbreaking statement after their 22-year-old son’s body was found in the Cumberland River. “I just ask that you mommas out there hug your babies tight tonight, please. Please for me, hug your babies tight tonight.” His father Ryan Gilbert thanked Metro Nashville Police Department, the United Cajun Navy, friends, family, and memebers of the community for their help with the search efforts: “It’s just unbelievable what they’ve done for us. It’s been an emotional roller-coaster. We’re quite thankful for everything that you’ve done for our family. The grace that you’ve given us, it means a lot, more than you’ll ever know. To the people of Nashville, I can’t thank you enough for the support, the love, the encouragement that you’ve shown myself and my wife. You don’t understand how much that meant to us in some of our darkest hours.” RIP Riley. https://twitter.com/FOXNashville/status/1771293951980359930?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1771293951980359930%7Ctwgr%5E84a04d00fb258cfe2d919775e78f5d89f864776d%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.whiskeyriff.com%2F2024%2F03%2F23%2Fhug-your-babies-tight-riley-strains-mom-issues-statement-after-sons-body-was-found-in-nashvilles-cumberland-river%2F

“Stick To The F***ing Script” – Peyton Manning Accidentally Broke The News Of George Strait & Parker McCollum’s Texas Concert

Parker McCollum country music with Peyton Manning at Red Rocks

You never want a story or announcement to get out before it's supposed to. Someone should try telling that to Peyton Manning, since he apparently broke the news of George Strait and Parker McCollum's Texas concert a little too early in front of a little too many people. Pat McAfee talked about the slip up on his show today, revealing that Manning was interviewing both himself and McCollum at a charity gala when the former NFL quarterback let a huge, secretive concert announcement slip out: "We were at Peyton Manning's Children Hospital Gala and Peyton Manning had a Q&A with me and Parker up there on stage. And Peyton had his questions written out in front of him, goes off script a little bit and says, 'You're also doing a show with George Strait down at Texas A&M right?' And Parker goes, 'Umm, that has not been announced yet, but yes.' Peyton immediately afterwards goes, 'Just stick to the f*****g script Peyton' backstage." https://twitter.com/PatMcAfeeShow/status/1773064503208395143?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1773064503208395143%7Ctwgr%5Ec5c1bd88f222e1af29c4daaeb6266b132672b341%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.whiskeyriff.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost-new.php Peyton's gala, which was put together to benefit Peyton Manning's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, took place on March 8th. That means that the Super Bowl winning QB broke the Strait-McCollum concert news to everyone in attendance 11 days before anyone else knew about it. George Strait made the official announcement for the exciting summer stadium show on March 19th. The event will be the first ever at Texas A&M's Kyle Field: "All roads lead to College Station. TEXAS, George will play the FIRST EVER concert at Kyle Field on June 15. Joining him are fellow Texans Parker McCollum and Catie Offerman. This will be the one and only show in Texas this year. Tickets on sale Thursday, March 28 at 10 AM CT." https://www.instagram.com/p/C4ssohtLN3I/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=d5d4f662-f657-4ca7-b752-e91ffb855939 It was good timing for Pat McAfee to bring up the story on his show considering that the tickets for the Texas show go on sale tomorrow morning. The media personality even called Parker McCollum live on air to talk a little bit more about the hilarious Peyton Manning mishap, but McAfee just ended up talking about how good-looking Parker McCollum was. Classic Pat McAfee Show right there...

Sports Betting Company Hiring A “Wiener Connoisseur” To Find The Biggest Wiener In The MLB

hot dog

Like big wieners? This may be the job for you. Online sports betting company BetUS is looking for a wiener lover to travel to all 30 MLB stadiums to scope out the biggest wieners in major league baseball. (Of course we're talking about hot dogs here). The Wiener Connoisseur will be responsible for traveling to each stadium to help determine which team has the biggest wieners, ranking them based on girth, length, weight and price. According to the job posting: "As we all know, size does matter. For this official ‘Wiener Connoisseur’ position, we are looking for someone who considers themselves a passionate hot dog connoisseur, has a strong opinion when it comes to grilled vs boiled dogs, is well-versed in the world of wieners and smiles at the idea of a literal sausage fest." But you'll also get a small package (of compensation) for scarfing down all those wiener: The position pays $2,500 cash, a $500 gift card to the MLB shop, a yearlong subscription to MLB.TV.  The company will also cover your travel expenses and tickets to the game. There's no truth to the rumor (that I'm starting) that the position is only open to women because men would add 2 inches to their measurements. So if you're looking for a summer gig, and want to hit up some baseball games while rating wieners...well hey, this sounds like your job. Imagine being able to add "wiener connoisseur" to your resume.
