Riley Green Releases Steamy New Song “Worst Way,” From Forthcoming ‘Way Out Here’ EP

Riley Green country music

Is it hot in here, or is it just me? Riley Green released a new song today called "Worst Way," which is part of his forthcoming Way Out Here EP, and like already I told y'all, the ladies are gonna love this one... imagine how many bras are going to get thrown at him during this song at a live show. The super sexy song is the only solo write he has on the aforementioned EP, and I’m telling you, there’s just something about the songs he writes by himself that hit different (“I Wish Grandpas Never Died” and “Numbers on the Cars” come to mind as much less steamy examples). I mean, just take a look at the second verse... "Baby, that don't mean that I Don't love to go wine and dine you That ain't on the menu tonight 'Cause I think I need to remind you That your skin on my skin Feels just like heaven to me You look like an angel tonight But you might wanna slip off those wings" Aside from the fact that it's a rare love song of sorts from the Alabama native, and the content of the lyrics is clearly a little bit distracting, it's very well-written and I'm sure will quickly become another fan-favorite. Also, as a random side note, the line that says "close all the blinds, lock all the doors, put away anything that'll break" kind of reminds me of Eric Church's "Like A Wrecking Ball," which makes me wonder if that inspired this song in any way but I digress... Honestly, the top YouTube comment summed it up best: "A lot of babies gonna be made off this one buddy." Can't argue with that... check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhaTJhpzfm8 Also included on the seven-song Way Out Here EP tracklist are several other unreleased tunes he’s teased before in “Good Morning from Mexico,” “Pick a Place,” “Worst Way” and his current single at country radio, “Damn Good Day to Leave.” The project slated to drop on Friday, April 12th, the day Riley kicks off his inaugural Duckman Jam festival. Way Out Here tracklist: 1. “Jesus Saves” (Riley Green) 2. “Way Out Here” (Casey Beathard, David Lee Murphy, Josh Thompson) 3. “Atlantic City” (Bruce Springsteen) 4. “Good Morning from Mexico” (Riley Green) 5. “Damn Good Day to Leave” (Riley Green, Erik Dylan, Jonathan Singleton, Nick Walsh) 6. “Pick a Place” (Riley Green, Erik Dylan) 7. “Worst Way” (Riley Green) "Way Out Here" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEgfh7U3dY0

Toby Keith Featured On ‘HIXTAPE Vol: 3’ With Joe Diffie’s “Ships That Don’t Come In” In What Turned Out To Be His Final Recording

Hixtape Toby Keith

You couldn't have scripted this one any better. Of course we all know that we lost the legendary Toby Keith back on February 5 after a two-year battle with stomach cancer. The Big Dog Daddy had recently returned to the stage, performing three sold-out concerts in Las Vegas at the end of 2023 in what turned out to be his final performances. But what we didn't know is that he had actually been in the studio one final time. Back in November, HARDY announced the next installment of his popular HIXTAPE series - and HIXTAPE Vol. 3: Difftape was a tribute to another '90s country legend, Joe Diffie, who passed away on March 29, 2020. What we didn't know until this week though, was that before he passed away, Toby Keith had actually recorded a song for that project too. In what turned out to be a poetic twist that made for a storybook ending to a legendary career, Toby's final recording was a duet with Luke Combs of "Ships That Don't Come In," Joe Diffie's poignant 1992 single from his album Regular Joe that reflects on navigating and appreciating life through the struggles: "And just when I'd hit bottomThat old man raised his glassAnd said at least we've had our chancesThere's those who never have So here's to all the soldiersWho have ever died in vainThe insane locked up in themselvesThe homeless down on MainTo those who stand on empty shoresAnd spit against the windAnd those who wait foreverFor ships that don't come in" Of course nobody knew it at the time, but the song would end up being Toby's final recording before he passed away, and now the song serves not only as a tribute to Diffie (whose vocals are also on the song) but to another '90s country legend too. Sometimes it's just incredible how things work out like they do. And luckily for us, we get to hear Toby's voice one final time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW8CVmVy5K0

Lost Dog Street Band Releases The Title Track Off Their Forthcoming Album, ‘Survived’

Lost dog street band

Lost Dog Street Band is back with another single from their highly anticipated forthcoming record, and frontman Benjamin Tod believes this one might be the best song he's ever written. The album's title track, "Survived" is a heavily introspective look into Tod's years of addiction and substance abuse that single-handedly encapsulates a recurring theme, whether latently or manifestly, throughout his entire catalog: Survival through the art and outlet of writing amidst turmoil. "Survived" follows "Brighter Shade" and "If You Leave Me Now" as the third single on the band's 8th album Survived, set to be released in just under a month on April 26, and sure to be some of their best work yet if the singles released thus far are any indication. And interestingly enough, the album was kind of an after thought initially. It wasn't supposed to happen, and the title track was ultimately a last minute addition to the tracklist. Speaking of the album, Tod laments, "I had already grieved the death of Lost Dog as a band the first week of 2023 while recording my honky tonk record. After finishing that record I realized I had a handful of other songs that would only fit under the Lost Dog banner. Given that I needed to build a band and write about half the album before we got into the studio, it was a real leap of faith." And the song that would ultimately become the project's title track barely even made it on the record. "An archetypal staple to all of our previous albums is an introspective minor waltz. I knew I needed to pull one out somehow and went into my writing cabin and banged it out. I was not extremely impressed at the moment. I made a demo and just went about my normal business." The result is what Tod thinks could be the greatest song he's ever penned. And that's saying something... "Its metaphysical spiderweb through my life and mind is endless. It's a testament to the struggle that got me here. If we can get out of our own way, we may be able to achieve our ideal divine self."  So, without further ado, give Lost Dog Street Band's latest single "Survived" a listen for yourself. Fair warning, the music video linked below contains some pretty graphic depictions of drug use. "There's a heavy weight at the burning stake Living like you had died Attrition takes at the pearly gates Lord I have survived Lord how have I survived" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY2WKjBm88E And here is the full 10-song tracklist to Survived. “Brighter Shade” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CNq8Rs2C70
“Lifetime of Work”
“Divine To Be” “Last Train” “Muhlenberg County Line” “Son of Tennessee” “Lonely Old Soul” “Hubbardville Store” “If You Leave Me Now” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0UC_YCg3VI “Survived” Alongside Tod, Lost Dog Street Band features original members Ashley Mae, Tod’s wife, on fiddle, and Jeff Loops playing upright bass, as well as new additions Tebbs Karney on Pedal Steel and drummer Ben Duvall to round out the band’s new full band sound. Together they’ll be bringing their new songs to a venue near you this spring in promotion of Survived, and you’re not going to want to miss it.

Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Cat “Poncho” Might Be The Biggest Social Media Star On The Planet

Stone Cold Steve Austin and Pancho

Legendary wrestler "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is doing wonders for the cat community. It's not a hot take to say that dogs are more popular than cats. If you love your dog and post about it online, you are just seen as a passionate dog owner. If you send stuff out onto social media about your cat, you are seen as a crazy cat person. I don't know if Steve Austin set out to change that stereotype, but he's effectively doing so whether he realizes it or not. Think of toughest people that you could name off the top of your head, and "Stone Cold" is comfortably in the top five... or at least he should be. And guess what? He's a cat guy, which can often be seen as a red flag. Austin might not be a "cat guy" as much as he is a "Pancho guy." For those uninitiated, Pancho is the former WWE personality's barn cat. Which you can see here in a cartoon (fan art) that "Stone Cold" posted himself: https://www.instagram.com/p/C3ApUrMu85k/ Great song choice there, Mr. Stone Cold. Can't go wrong with "Pancho and Lefty" by Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. Fun fact, Austin has another barn cat named Lefty to finish out the pair from that song (though Lefty apparently isn't as famous as Pancho). As I mentioned above, that "Pancho 3:16" fan art was submitted to Austin by a fan. "Stone Cold" obviously has a huge fan base, but you may not understand just how big of a celebrity his barn cat Pancho has become. Fans get sneak peaks into Steve Austin's relationship with his pet cat from time to time, and honestly, it's incredibly wholesome. Probably one of the most wholesome things I've seen on social media in a long time. Here's a clip of Steve Austin talking to Poncho before he had to go out and shovel horse sh*t: https://www.instagram.com/p/C2-OwkBxg3v/ A PANCHO CHECK IN. I've only known that Pancho has existed for a couple of hours and I'm fully on board. And "Stone Cold" is right in saying that his cat has one heck of a set up. It appears that Pancho also has one heck of an owner. Who knew that the intimidating Steve Austin could be such a gentle giant? I'll also add comedian to his list of titles, because he absolutely nailed this joke during another Pancho update: "Pancho said he had a dream last night. He dreamed he ate a muffler. He woke up this morning exhausted." https://www.instagram.com/p/C3vP-H-xnn4/ Now that is a dad joke. In another update on the world's most adored barn cat, "Stone Cold" put Pancho on blast by asking if he had earned his keep by killing voles (small rodents) around the property. Pancho wasn't super interested in answering that question: https://www.instagram.com/p/C4gYs3Evp9d/ It's hard to tell who runs the show at the Broken Skull Ranch: Steve Austin or Pancho? And finally, in quite possibly the best clip from all that he's shared, here's a video of Austin wishing everyone a Merry Christmas as he shoveled horse crap with one arm... because Pancho is resting on his other shoulder: https://www.instagram.com/p/C1S5AkBvtmj/ Just brilliant content creation. You've probably had enough of the adventures of Pancho and Steve Austin at this point, but just in case you haven't, here's some rapid fire posts that "Stone Cold" has shared recently. Go ahead and give him a follow if you haven't already to stay up to date on Steve Austin Pancho: https://www.instagram.com/p/C2BRdRUvFlF/ https://www.instagram.com/p/C2zyVa2raix/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/C2kOBmkrJru/

Bear Cub Bugs The Heck Out Of Mother Bear Near Banff National Park

bear cubs playing

Shoutout to all the moms out there who keep their kids in order. I'm sure a lot of mothers will watch this video and relate to this mother bear trying her best to keep her cool as she interacts with her cub. The smaller baby bear was in the mood to play, while the mom's main goal was to keep the little thing safe and sound (and away from the road). That's why every time the cub bounced up on the mother's face to play and pushed both of them further into the road in the Canadian national park, the mom consistently redirected the tiny bruin towards the shoulder of the highway. The small bear cub stands up on its hind legs multiple times to mess with its mother, and the elder bear could not have handled it better. This video right here is a masterclass in motherly patience. It would have been very easy for the mother to lose it, but cooler heads prevailed. There's a chance that the cub was trying to lead its parent across the road, which would have made for a very easy "Why did the bear cross the road?" joke. However, as most of us know, mothers know best, and the momma bear made it loud and clear that they were going to stay on the side of the road and ultimately head back in the other direction. But you've got to give the bear cub credit for its sticktuitiveness... even though the mother's persistence outlasted her offspring.
